City Clerk. City of Tiffin, IA (pop. 3,900). Position oversees financial activities of the City including planning, budgeting, annual financial report, bank reconciliation, monthly financial reports, payroll and account payable/receivable. Processes and records documents and ensures publication of public notices and city council minutes. Provides administrative support to City Staff, attends all City Council and Planning & Zoning meetings and works with and under the direction of the City Administrator although position is appointed by the City Council. Also performs a variety of customer service tasks. Four-year degree or five years municipal or business experience required. Strong financial background and CMC preferred. Skills necessary to perform this position include accounting, computer and excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be self-motivated and have a high energy level. Starting wage of $24.00 per hour, plus benefits.
