Application – City of Tiffin Employment

Public Works Summer Help Part-time Positions (2).  City of Tiffin, IA (pop. 3,900).  Position performs a variety of general labor work within the City’s Public Works Department.  Main responsibility is maintenance of ball fields and working in concessions/field maintenance every other weekend.  Individual(s) will work 40 hours a week all summer.  Ideal applicants would be able to work weekends starting April 1st, then weekdays and every-other-weekend in June and July, workers will then work weekdays in August.  Applicants must be 16 years old however, 18 years old is preferred. Starting wage $12.00 per hour. 

Concession Stand Manager – Seasonal (summer), approximately 20 hours per weekend.  City of Tiffin, IA (pop. 3,900).  Position is responsible for managing the City of Tiffin’s concession stand along with scheduling, coordinating and supervising the concession stand employees.  Manager will also prepare and served concession stand food at Tiffin’s City Park.  Hours will primarily be on the weekends with some occasional hours during the week from April 1st through the end of July.  Position will report to the Recreation Director and may be required to coordinate schedules with City Hall Staff.  Graduation from high school and equivalent combination of training preferred.  Must have or be able to obtain a Food Protection Management Certification.  This is a one-day course which is paid for by the City.  Starting wage of $15.00 per hour.

Concession Stand Workers – Seasonal (summer), approximately 20 hours per weekend.  City of Tiffin, IA (pop. 3,900).  Hours will primarily be on the weekends with some occasional hours during the week from April 1st through the end of July.  Workers will be primarily responsible for prepping and serving concession stand food at Tiffin’s City Park.  Workers must be 16 years of age.  Some food service experience is preferred.  Starting wage is $12.00 per hour.
